About

Let me tell you about who I am and why I feel qualified to help you.

First of all, though, who am I not? Let’s get this out of the way. I’m not a doctor, M.D. or otherwise. I don’t have any degree in health science or anything related to what I am writing about. I’m not a trainer, a dietician or any of those things.

In a nutshell, to be blunt, I’m a very-smart guy who has spent more than a half-century learning about health and happiness, and who continues to learn the latest ways to be happy and healthy.  And I have condensed that learning, plus the latest information, into my site and these newsletters.

My Story

Let me tell you my story, if you will.

It all started when I was a teenager.  When I was in my last year of high school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for college, so my father sent me to a prominent university to be tested to find out what I was suited for.  The tests showed my intelligence to be in the top 1% of the world, revealing my potential to succeed at anything I tried.

I still didn’t have any clear direction, so my dad suggested I go to chiropractic college.  Although I wasn’t excited about it, it seemed a good choice at the time. I wound up spending 4 years there, but I finally lost my desire and left only a few months before I graduated. In the meantime, however, I learned a lot about the body and natural health and healing.

While I was in college, I became interested in personal growth, and so I started reading about it.  After I graduated, I attended meetings, workshops, etc. These days, mindfulness meditation has become very popular, but I was doing it in 1976.  I took weekend workshops about it and once spent 7 days meditating all day from morning until night.  I also started my vegetarian diet, which I have followed for most of the past 50 years, and I have been following a vegan diet for the past 6 years.

You may have read about superfoods, like algae; I was growing my own 50 years ago, as well as making my own tofu, tempeh and bread.  I was studying yoga and Tai Chi in the 70’s, and then I was teaching Tai Chi. I became a certified Bach Remedy counselor through a 6-day training course. I took a foot reflexology course, an energy healing class, etc.

Now, because of my experience, I can look at current articles and see where there are errors. For example, one article showed that lentils had twice as many grams of protein per serving than they actually do, which could cause a problem if you were relying on that to get your protein for the day.  But, because of my studies, I avoided passing on that bad information to you.

Please understand; I am not bragging. I’m just showing you that I have put a lot of effort into learning how to be happy and healthy, and that I’d like to share my knowledge with you.

A Half-Million People
In the early ‘80’s I created a magazine for natural health and healing, personal growth, and other related topics.  It wound up being highly successful and had the largest circulation in the world of any publication of its type.  More than 500,000 readers looked to me for the best information on health and happiness, and I never let them down.  I sold that magazine after 10 years, and got involved with the Internet.  And that lead me to create this Website.

My Ethics
Let me tell you a story about my ethics.  When I was the editor of the Resource magazines, all of our articles were about how to improve your life, and usually had action steps to take.  We had one advertiser that would buy our back cover in color for all 3 of our publications. These were our most-expensive ads, and she was our biggest advertiser.  One day I got a letter asking me to publish an article about the advertiser and her story.  I explained that our articles are about how to improve your life, and if she wanted to write an article on a topic like that, then I would seriously consider it, and she could put her info at the bottom of the article.

She wasn’t happy with this, and shortly after that, cancelled all of her ads. It was a big financial hit for us to take, but I didn’t regret my decision.  You see, I felt that my readers were trusting me to bring them the highest level information possible, and I was not about to betray that trust.  And here at MiddleAge.Org,, I operate with that same level of ethics, and will never promote any product or process which I don’t believe in.  You have my word on that.

Testimonials
To be honest, I feel embarrassed to show these, but I’m concerned that if you don’t believe that I can help you, then you’ll not value my information for you, and you will lose out.

“It has been my pleasure to know Brian for a good part of the last four decades of my life.  During that time, his level of genuine care and concern for people’s health and wellness has been demonstrated over and over again in the way he invests his time in assisting people. His love and compassion for me and my family have always been evident through him sharing his knowledge with us on many levels: spiritual, mental, physical and emotional.  I have had the great pleasure of being mentored by Brian for a large portion of my life and I want you to know that the quality of my journey could not have reached the level it has so far without Brian’s mentorship. Even after 40 years, I am still constantly amazed by the depth and breadth of his knowledge. I can’t encourage everyone enough to explore the helpful material presented on his site and allow Brian’s vast knowledge to assist you in your journey. With much love and appreciation”

My Commitment
My commitment to you is to use my abilities to provide you with the very best ways to improve your life.  On a daily basis, I search the Internet for the latest accurate and scientifically-proven ways to be happy and healthy, and then evaluate them based on my extensive experience.  I will always be 100% truthful with you, and will never mislead you for monetary gain, nor for any other reason.

I believe that I have to earn your trust by proving my genuine intentions for your happiness and well-being.  I truly value your trust, and I believe it is an obligation for me to never betray it.

Transparency
I have created this Website for two main reasons. One is to use the knowledge and wisdom I have to enhance the lives of others.  I am always happy when I can give someone some advice and it makes their life better. It’s very satisfying to me. The other reason is to create income for myself. There is a saying that sums my philosophy up and it’s “Doing well by doing good”.

I will never promote something I don’t believe in. I offer digital products such as eBooks and training in our online store, always with a 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee.  I will also suggest other products which I believe in, and which also have a money-back guarantee. Some of these are on the Website and others I will tell you about in my newsletters.   You can sign up for my newsletters by clicking here.

Your Feedback
I welcome and request your feedback.  You can either go to my Website and click on the “Contact” link, or else click here.  Although I have put this site together using the best of my knowledge, I can’t know what’s on your mind and in your life.  So please let me know what you’d like me to focus on and give you more information about, both on the site and especially in the newsletters.  At last count, I had more than 3,000 links to articles with the best ways to create happiness and health, so I have a lot of sources for information to help you.  Let me know what you’d like to see.

I truly hope that you will take advantage of my efforts and utilize their results to “make the rest of your life the best of your life”.
